"Traumatised by an abusive past, Sebastian finds work with a family as a groom in a polo yard. When charged with trying to re-train Liberty, an unhand-able, failed racehorse, Sebastian bonds with the wayward animal and secretly trains as a polo player ultimately changing both their lives.."
In 2020, I was approached by Keepcalmandcarryon productions, to assist them as a Sound Supervisor during principal photography on their newest short. This was a 5 day production shoot in the middle of the UK countryside, where I helped the Sound Recordist have all necessary equipment, ready to record.
After the shoot was done, I was asked if I could create the sound mix for the film to which I instinctually replied "Yes!" For a whole month, I was cleaning and mixing production audio with post recorded foley, atmos tracks and other sound effects that could enhance the film. This was my first time working with animals as a Sound Designer, which initially posed a challenge but was overcome.
In the end a sound mix that worked with movie was created.
Currently, Riding Liberty has gone on to win two awards: "Best Sports Film" at Roma film festival, and "Best Indie Short" at Los Angeles International Film Festival.
