"After stumbling across the dead body of a young woman on a canal-side, John, your regular guy, is caught up in a series of illicit events."
2018, Laurence Mason-Guetta, a young and budding filmmaker, asked if I could compose the music to his next thriller short film...Night Walk. Naturally I said yes.
I started working on composing a score for the film trying to match its dark themes using a mix of synthesizers, samples, recorded sounds and orchestral instruments. A favourite track on this score is quite possibly "Urban Rat Race," used to emphasise a high tension action scene, only using sounds recorded from objects in my flat at the time. Although this was my first time composing a score, I still felt proud and accomplished of what I had achieved and the effect it bought to the film.
Since then it is now on YouTube or Vimeo to watch in its entirety and Laurence is still currently creating and directing new and exciting films.
