"A university student returns home to self isolate during lockdown. He's totally alone, he's caught the virus and in order to cope he's started to talk to himself."

In 2020, Jason Farries, a director who I worked with previously on "The Voodoo Man" asked me to work on his latest new feature. A film, set during a global pandemic, focusing on a character stuck in his home.

I started work by helping look for a location where the main character will spend a majority of their time. Luckily, I knew someone who had access to a relatively big property and we started preparing for principal photography. During the main shoot I mostly just helped with: preparing places for crew to stay, making sure the environment was clean and sanitised, as well as providing catering. Additionally, I would also assist the Sound Recordist, whenever he requested it.

After principal photography, I then started my main duties as Re-Recording Engineer and Foley Artist, along with my Assistant Sound Editor, Laura Avis. We took the production audio, cleaned it and blended with post recorded sounds such as: Foley, Atmos Tracks, Music and other Sound Effects. We then got the final sound mix ready for its final release on Amazon Prime.

After its release, a discussion between me, Jason and Alex (the composer), began about releasing the soundtrack onto streaming platforms. I assisted this by mastering the tracks Alex had made for the film, ready to be released onto streaming services like Spotify.

The film itself can be watched on Amazon Prime for free (with Prime membership), and the soundtrack is ready to listen on streaming services such as Spotify or Apple Music.
